SolidCAM China has teamed up with Shenzhen TaoShi Precision Technology Co., Ltd. to set up a new SolidCAM Technology Centre for Swiss-Type Machining and Manufacturing.
On August 18, 2020, SolidCAM, HKPC (Hong Kong Productivity Council) and Shenzhen Taoshi Precision Technology Co., Ltd. jointly held a SolidCAM Swiss-Type seminar in Shenzhen.
Six machine shop attendees decided to buy SolidCAM's Swiss Type Solution at the end of the event, put deposits and started a Trial evaluation.
We were very skeptical to approach multi-tasking machines (swiss-type) because of the post processor complexities involved.
However, having witnessed 6 customers placing deposits for orders just after a seminar is indeed incredible.
I strongly recommend to demonstrate the solution to customers with these Swiss type machines, and I am confident that you will be delighted with the decision.
Elbe is the largest and leading company in Israel for the marketing and sale of CNC machines of all kinds.
For over 70 years, the company has been selling world-renowned brands, including Okuma for all types of milling up to 5 axes, for Mill-Turn (Multus & Macturn), Doosan for Milling and Citizen for Swiss-Type.
SolidCAM created an excellent cooperation with this Citizen distributor in Israel.
SolidCAM GmbH and Citizen Germany have been cooperating in Germany since the beginning of 2018.
After SolidCAM visited the Citizen headquarters in Esslingen on 5th April 2018, the cooperation between the two companies picked up speed and steadily strengthened their partnership.
BIOLINE struggled with Swiss-Type after using two different CAM software companies. Then they turned to SolidCAM for a demonstration after hearing about their Swiss-Type solutions, and finally found the success they were looking for.
TaoShi Precision Technology Co., Ltd (https://taoshijingmi.en.alibaba.com/), established in 2016 is an early adopter of SolidCAM’s Swiss Type module (purchased in 2019). They are located in the heart of the manufacturing district of Bao’an, and within the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, Southern China, bordering to Hong Kong.
TaoShi, a machine shop boasting 30 SwissType machines ranging from Tsugami, Star and various local Chinese brands, saw the immediate impact SolidCAM has on their investment.
Mr. Tao Yu Long, Managing Director of TaoShi volunteered the use of his machines to showcase his factory’s capabilities, during an event co-organized by SolidCAM and Hong Kong Productivity Council, in August 2020.
During this event, the live cutting on SwissType machine was broadcast from TaoShi Precision directly to the conference location (projected to large displays). At the end of the conference, 6 attending companies placed orders for SolidCAM's SwissType bundle.

The customer purchased the SolidCAM Swiss Type module in early 2020. Manager Wang of Shuofang reported that it took the customer a long time to choose the CAM software and they compared also NX, Master CAM, and other software - but finally chose SolidCAM, because it is very suitable for hard machining. Using SolidCAM software can create a lot of workpieces, much better than Manual programming or other CAM software.
At the customer, we showed them the use of SolidCAM software programming. One of the workpieces is the "Oriental Pearl Tower". This is a characteristic workpiece that symbolizes Shanghai's landmark. It is reported that manual programming is error-prone and inefficient - this manual programming can take a week and more. But using SolidCAM software, you can program an "Oriental Pearl Tower" in about 2 hours.

Shenzhen Liangyang Hardware Products Co., Ltd was established in 2017 and is located in Guangming New District, Shenzhen.
The user learned that Shenzhen Dow Precision Technology Co., Ltd. also uses SolidCAM software and has gained success and popularity in the machining industry.
In 2020, we held a SolidCAM Swiss-type seminar in Shenzhen - Shenzhen Liangyang Hardware Products Co., Ltd. ordered SolidCAM Swiss Type solution on the same day.
Manager Xin led us into the manufacturing site and showed one of his user's parts, which can be easily made with SolidCAM, but very difficult for manual programming - the part can be easily cut in 20 minutes.
