SolidCAM UK was against a very aggressive Esprit, with the UK’s largest user of Star machines in over 2 main sites.
Initially, we have to drive the SR38 Type B, ST-38, SX-38 & SR-32.
Neida Products Ltd (https://www.neida.co.uk/home.html) had been recommended by the Star Managing Director to strongly consider SolidCAM, because he knew we could provide all the support and Post Processors from our UK Technology Centre while with Esprit, much of the support was International.
Despite Esprit’s aggressive pricing campaign, making the decision more difficult for Neida, they agreed to place their Swiss order with SolidCAM UK, acknowledging that we are better prepared with local support and showing a clear preference for SolidCAM’s easier interface.
Neida is a sub-contract manufacturer of precision turned and milled components. The company works in Automotive, Marine, Aerospace, Defence, Medical, and Electrical Industries, to offer the highest possible product quality.
They are also a member of the BTMA (https://btma.org), which SolidCAM UK recently joined - for the customer this was another crucial factor in making the final decision.
